Introduction for blog post: Hi! Thank you for taking the time to read this post and here's a little bit about myself: I'm a freelance Author and Creator and love discussing games with others.I've been following the evolving PC save game editor community with keen interest, because it makes playing through really difficult games like "The Last Remnant" more manageable. With luck, these tutorials will be useful to those of you who are new to this kind of thing as well as seasoned pros looking for new tools or just a different perspective on the process. On to business: Once you've obtained your desired save game (see the tutorials section on how to remove it from the game, remember to keep it safe!) you will want to edit it for fun, profit or both. The first thing you'll need is a hex editor like HxD (I'll be using this in all the tutorials because I like it). You can download what you need here: https://mh-nexus.de/en/hxd/ . I also recommend getting the plug-in extension "Hex Editor Neo" if you don't already have it - Google the name and download the latest version of that too. I'll be using Neo as well as the hex editor as a whole throughout these tutorials. There are three sections to this tutorial, each covering a different aspect of editing your save game:1. Getting Started - Downloading the save game and importing into NeoAs it's been designed, your save game is going to have a lot of 'empty' space. This section will show you how to use the tools in Neo and HxD to quickly rid those areas of garbage data and make more room available for modifications. You will also learn about some settings that affect how Neo works, what it focuses on and what most important changes you should make to your save file first.2. Editing Attributes - Changing values for your characters and teamYou've already 'cleaned' the main areas of your save up, so now it's time to fill them back up with the information that will allow you to modify character stats. This is where you'll learn how to edit character levels, attributes, spells and more! 3. Editable Items - Creating items for yourself and your teamYour characters are now fully modifiable, but what about those items? This section will show you how to add new items into the game for use by your party members or yourself. ....Ready to get started? Let's do it!Part 1: Getting StartedI. Importing into UltraEdit-NEo (Neo for short)Before you begin your save game editing adventure, you will need to download the game's save file from your computer. If you are using the PC version of the game, you can use this guide to do so: http://thelastremnantwiki.com/wiki/Changing_the_save_file . If you are using the Xbox 360 version of the game, follow these instructions: http://thelastremnantwiki.com/wiki/Changing_a_360s_save_game . cfa1e77820
